Zahaan’s Unstoppable Spirit
Zahaan Kapadia of Class X B won the Silver Medal in Taekwondo, for India, as a part of the Indian Team in the prestigious ISF Gymnasiade in Bahrain. He fought against the best of 29 countries in the world winning the first medal for India in Kyorugi (sparring) Zahaan’s hard work and consistent training shone through, making DAIS and India proud!
Freeyah’s Dual Triumphs
Freeyah Golia of Class X B made India proud at the prestigious ISF Gymnasiade at Bahrain in Taekwondo, clinching two Bronze medals. She competed against athletes from over 70 countries in the G1-ranked tournament. Freeyah's hard work paid off with remarkable achievements, by winning India's first medals in both Poomsae and Kyurugi category.
Aaliya Sengupta Bags Silver at National Taekwondo Championship
Aaliya Sengupta of Year IX won a Silver medal at the 6th edition of the ISSO National Taekwondo Championship. Aaliya demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork by collaborating with Jayveer Kochhar to secure victory in the pair Poomsae (Form) event within the under 17 years age group.
Zahaan Kapadia Clinches Gold at ISSO National Taekwondo Championship
At the 6th edition of the ISSO National Taekwondo Championship held at the Indus International School, Hyderabad, Zahaan Kapadia of class X B won a Gold Medal.
In the semifinal Zahaan defeated his opponent from the home team to reach the finals. In a thrilling final match Zahaan narrowly beat his opponent.
Jayveer Kochhar Shines at the 6th ISSO National Taekwondo Championship
Jayveer Kochhar of Year XI, achieved remarkable success at the 6th edition of the ISSO National Taekwondo Championship. Jayveer demonstrated exceptional talent and determination, securing a commendable haul of one Gold and two Silver medals.
In the Poomsae (Form) Jayveer clinched the Gold medal in the individual class in the under 17 years age category. He collaborated with Aaliya Sengupta to secure a Silver medal in the pair class.
Furthermore, Jayveer won the Silver medal in the Kyorugi (Sparring) event in the final match.
Ilaan Kapadia Claims a Gold in Taekwondo
Ilaan Kapadia of Class VIII A achieved a remarkable victory and a Gold medal at the 2nd Stairs District Taekwondo Championship in Mumbai in the under-14 age category.

Zahaan Kapadia of Class 10 B achieved a commendable feat by securing a Silver medal in the under-17 years age category at the Maharashtra State Taekwondo Tournament held in Mumbai.
Naevah Mehta Gold Medal
At the Stairs District Taekwondo Tournament, Naevah Mehta of Class 4 A won a Gold Medal in the Under-12 years and below 22 kgs category in Kyurogi (Sparring).
Aadhya Yoddha wins Silver
Aadhya Yoddha of Class 5B won a Silver medal in Kyorugi (sparring), at the 2nd Stairs Maharashtra State Taekwondo Championship. She participated in the sub-junior under-12 years category, in the 48 kg. weight class.
5th ISSO National Taekwondo Tournament
At the 5th ISSO National Taekwondo Tournament, 2023, held at Oberoi International School, Goregaon DAIS won the following medals:
- Freeyah Golia of Class 9B won a Gold medal in the Under-17 age category.
- Freeyah has qualified to participate at the School Games Federation of India Taekwondo Nationals to be held later this year.
- Cyrus Setna of Class 8 B won a Bronze medal at the event.
- Abhiraj Singh of Class 9 C won a Silver medal in the tournament.

Dwisha Vashi of Class 4B has been awarded a Gold medal for Kruyogi, in the Under-12 age category.

Aadhya Yoddha of Class 5B won a Gold medal in Kyorugi and a Bronze medal in Poomsae in the sub-junior under 12 years category, in the 48 kg. weight class.
DAIS Bags Taekwondo Medals
Some of our DAIS students participated in the STAIRS Mumbai and Sub Mumbai District Taekwondo Competition 2023. The tally of medals was as under:
Arhaan Mehta of Class 1B won a gold medal, in the under 9 age category, in Poomse, in the 23 kg. weight category.
Aryavir Mehta of Class 5B won a gold medal, in the under 12 age category, in Kuryogi, in the 38 kg. weight category.
Gunranak Singh Khurana of Class 4B has won a Bronze medal in Kyurogi in the under 12 years age category.
Freeyah Golia of Class 9 B earned a silver medal in the in under 12 age category, in Individual Poomsae.
Ari Piramal of Class 1B won the Gold medal for Kyurogi and the Silver medal for Poomsae in the Under-9 age category.
Viaanraj Singh of Class 3 A won a Gold medal in Kuryogi and a Silver medal in Poomsae, in the under-9 age category.
Shanaya Thirwani of Class 4B participated in the under-12 years age category and won a Gold medal in Kyurogi and 2 Bronze medals in Poomsae.

Viaanraj Singh of Class 2 participated in the under 11 years age category at the 1st Open National Tournament and won the Bronze medal, in the under 34 kg. weight category.
Aritra Malik of Class 11 won the Gold medal at the 1st Open National Tournament, in the under 17 years age category.
Aritra knocked out (KO) her opponent with a superb back kick (Dwi Chagi).
Aaliya Sengupta of Class 7 won the Silver medal at the 1st Open National Tournament, in the under 14 years age category.
Aliya won her medal by demonstrating her Taekwondo Forms (5 and 8 Poomsae).

Azad Parikh: Record Confirmation India Book of Records
Azad Parikh of Class 6 B has become India’s youngest 3rd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo from Kukkiwon, South Korea (Poom Certificate) at the age of 11 years. He has been training since the age of four years. India Book of Records has confirmed this highly commendable feat, which is great pride for the school.

SIDDHAARTH GOLIA - Taekwondo
Siddhaarth Golia 8B participated in the 8th Mumbai District Taekwondo championship which was held on 22nd September 2018 at Rajiv Gandhi Sports Foundation at Dharavi Mumbai.
Siddhaarth participated in 2 categories U-14 & U-17.
He won Silver medals in both the categories. He gave a tough fight to his opponents.
Azad PAREKH Taekwondo tournament
At the 4th Universal Taekwondo Federation International Championship at the Dharavi Sports Complex Azad Parikh won a gold medal in the U-10 category, beating his opponent by a point difference of 12-5 in the final match.

Amaan Singh of Class 4A shines at the Chuncheon Korea Open International Taekwondo Championships 2015.
Amaan Singh of Class 4A participated in the Chuncheon Korea Open International Taekwondo Championships 2015, held in Chuncheon City, South Korea from 22nd to 27th July 2015.He won a Silver Medal (Second Place) in the ‘Black Belt (8-10 yrs)’ Category in the Kyorugi (sparring) Competition. He also won a Bronze Medal (Third Place) in the ‘Black Belt (8-9 yrs)’ Category in the Poomsae Competition. The competition is considered one of the most prestigious International Open Tournaments. It was conducted under the aegis of the World Taekwondo Federation by the Korea Taekwondo Association in collaboration with the officials of Chuncheon City.
