ADVITYA 2014 - VISIT TO DAIS

The members of the Advitya NGO took opportunity by its throat and invited the ‘Advityans’ to visit our school. The students had multiple plans for the Advityan’s and were shuddering in anticipation of their arrival.

The students took the Advityan’s, who were as excited as the students were, into the auditorium, where the students began to arrange the auditorium’s assets in order to begin playing all the exciting activities the students had in store for them. The inaugural event for these festivities was a light hearted game of musical chairs, where everybody was absolutely delightful about the events that unfolded.

Post the Musical Chairs bonanza, we proceeded to reveal the stage, decorated as a campsite, highlighted by the warm fire displayed on the projector screen. The student’s proceeded to play their ace in the hole as Mr. Tom made his dramatic entrance with two stories planned after countless amounts of time spent brainstorming. The first story involved immersing the Advityans into Macbeth, making them brew a ‘magical potion’ as the three (in such a situation, many) witches. Eventually, after that enthralling activity, Mr. Tom proceeded to telling the story of the wasps and the giant jam sandwich, his signature tale, which absolutely captivated the Advityan’s undivided attention.

After Mr. Tom’s grand spectacle, the students proceeded to a faux karaoke, due to the fact that the microphone was turned  off due to a Badminton tournament just outside. However, they enjoyed the singing thoroughly.  The students then proceeded to the Cafeteria, however, the Advityans were absolutely engrossed in the school ‘aquarium’. They then proceeded to eat the cafeteria, where the food tantalised their taste buds.

Conclusively, the Advityan’s happiness, carefreeness and kindness rubbed off us all, leaving a feeling of innate satisfaction, which is seemingly undefinable and unobtainable in any other precinct. Seeing their smiling faces made all the students realize that it was certainly worth all the effort it took to get them there, It’s almost as though it served as a reminder that despite the intense competition and academics we endure, we shouldn’t stress and obsess over such trivialities of life and enjoy it regardless, after all, we are the lucky one.
