Off-Campus Study & Activity Opportunities for DAIS Students

In line with its philosophy of giving the maximum possible opportunities for students to enhance their learning and development and support their work for community service projects, DAIS encourages them to make use of off-campus facilities available at various locations.

Off-campus facility at Matheran
Students make use of an off-campus facility, which is situated at the highest point in Matheran, approximately 100 kms from Mumbai, in an idyllic setting against the glorious backdrop of nature, for a range of cross-curricular learning opportunities. It has conference and performance centres and an amphitheater. It also has sporting facilities like tennis and basketball football, cricket and handball courts, a jogging / riding track and facilities for indoor games. Our senior students pursue their coursework assignments and projects, on the various service projects that they have initiated in the nearby Hassachipatti village.

This facility is also used for conducting weekend training camps by our physical education department, professional development programmes for teachers and staff, and for organizing exchange visits with participation of students and teachers visiting our school from across India and around the world.

Off-campus facility at Patalganga
Our IB Diploma students are able to make use of Reliance’s facilities at its Patalganga manufacturing site for carrying out their Geography coursework. The students also use the facilities there as part of the community service project they have undertaken at the adjacent Kumbharghar village.

Off-campus facility at Jamnagar
The school has facilitated the students to avail of the facilities at Reliance’s petrochemical complex and Reliance Greens campus to complete their IB Group 4 Science projects. Our younger students also visit the facilities at Jamnagar as part of their annual trip to this place.
