The Chennai Project – Touching lives
Aditi Rajeha of Grade 10 and Shiv Karnani of Grade 8 joined T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More) forming a group of 8 teenagers from 5 different schools to help the flood affected
areas of Chennai. In 2015, Chennai suffered tremendous floods leading to the deaths of over 300 people and causing a calamity so overwhelming that even airports were shut down. Each group
member started spreading awareness to people they knew and asked for help. Even though the process was slow to catch up at first, these young teenagers sought enough courage to have survival
kits for infants and elders distributed in the affected areas. 1000 Survival kits, 500 Infant kits, 1500 Sustenance kits and 1500 Rehabilitation kits were given out to the people. They
touched the lives of the people in Chennai in grave times of need.
