Force and Play

As a culmination of the ongoing unit of inquiry on ‘Force’, the Class 1 learners visited Funky Monkey, a play center in Lower Parel, Mumbai. The play equipment at the center provided a perfect opportunity for the inquirers to explore the concept through free play. They had a chance to experience the different types of forces, like push, pull, gravitational force, frictional force etc. around them. They explored related concepts like speed, distance, and motion in an informal setting. The students recorded and documented their learning as they experienced it. It was a fun and engaging way for our balanced inquirers to learn in a hands-on and experiential manner.
