Student Reflections:
Ishaan Surve: The IB League competition was a truly enjoyable experience. I learnt alot about different emerging technologies from Hall Effect Thrusters to Ion Beam prisms. I also learnt how to implement my pre-existing knowledge of science to develop our own solution while collaborating in a team. I especially enjoyed interacting with my peers from different schools and knowing about their curriculums. I am looking forward to participating in more such events and continuing to broaden my horizons.
Manish Ganeshan: I personally could not have asked for a better experience. There was a lot I learned in this competition from other teams, from friends from other competitions and most importantly my beloved debate teammates. The whole experience was one of a kind. Enjoyed every single moment!!
Parthiv Sreeraman: One of the primary insights derived from this event pertained to the significant effect of collaboration and teamwork. The occurrence of a significant issue within our market figures prompted a concentrated effort of three hours characterised by high-quality and rigorous work. Ultimately, emerging as winners in the competition taught valuable lessons.
Harshit Agarwal: Wonderful experience. I Learned a lot from my teammates and other teams. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire event, but the Jeopardy quiz topped the charts of thrill and excitement.
Jai Bhambhani: I not only learnt how to run a business but also a lot about how to manage my time efficiently while working with a team to achieve our goals. I really enjoyed seeing the innovations the various schools had come up with and the healthy competition it gave to us enabling us to acquire new skill sets in order to achieve victory.
Shreya Upadhyay: This entire event was an extremely enriching experience. Not only did I learn a lot more about STEM, I also learnt a lot about teamwork and strategy. It was extremely well organised and I really enjoyed every moment of it. The highlight of the event was meeting so many new and interesting people and I’m very grateful for this opportunity.
Ritisha Bansal: As a new student, it was an amazing first trip for me as I had fun not only with people from my own as well as other schools. I especially enjoyed finding solutions for asteroid deflection with my teammates and even the live watching of Chandrayan landing.
Keshav Mohta: It was a really fun experience where I got to meet so many new people from different schools, not only did I learn new things in STEM (like asteroid deflection methods), but also learnt about different people, their backgrounds and about the various IB schools in India. I enjoyed interacting with new people, adrenaline rush in the Jeopardy quiz
Vikram Kara: My experience in the debate competition was unparalleled as the level of arguments from opposition teams was very high. Despite winning all 3 rounds, we faltered in the semi finals and couldn't go all the way. Nevertheless, this competition has been a great learning experience for me as I have gotten to interact with like minded people as well as make new acquaintances.
Varun Bakshi: The IB League Entrepreneurship Championship held in Jaipur provided me with a practical insight into the realms of business and finance, going beyond textbook learning. I learned new leadership skills while working in a team and even dealing with challenging situations and keeping the team together. Our team went beyond the typical notion of sustainability, which most people were doing, and focused on the burning social issue -women's safety- which not only differentiated us but secured us the 1st place! I would like to thank JPIS for hosting us. I really enjoyed interacting with students from other schools who are working towards the same field as me. We exchanged valuable insights, provided advice, and gained fresh knowledge from one another's experiences.
Aditya Ankhad: It was an interesting and novel experience for me to travel for a pan India debate competition. I learnt a lot, not just through the feedback of the adjudicators, but also that of my peers. It was a truly enriching experience given that it was my first debate. I learnt how to debate in a more structured and cohesive manner, while keeping in mind what the adjudicators were looking for, and how it was different from other forms of discourse. I enjoyed meeting and interacting with so many new people across cultures was a great experience and I thoroughly enjoyed doing so.
Tishaa Dutt: Going to JPIS for the IB League was an extraordinary experience. Having met so many new people and getting to experience their breathtaking campus was an opportunity of a lifetime. I tend to be an ambivert. I don't get along well with everyone so I was initially anxious about the trip but after getting to JPIS and witnessing their warm welcoming demeanour I felt more adjusted. During the art competition I got to meet several equally talented artists from different states of india; interacting with them and hearing about what they do and don’t like in terms of media, method, style i learned a lot more about my field of interest. hearing about their plans for the future had me reflecting on my own, giving me more clarity. I personally really enjoyed the evening of the icebreakers and the social; it really made me breakout of my comfort zone and socialise with several people I normally wouldn’t have the courage to speak to. Overall I deeply enjoyed this trip, winning just made it better.
Anuj Singhal: Participating in the "IB League Entrepreneurship Challenge" at Jayshree Periwal International School was an incredible experience. Representing Dhirubhai Ambani International School, we pitched our business idea to the sharp mind of Namita Thapar and clinched the top prize. The event provided invaluable insights into the distinction between a mere idea and a viable business proposition.
Jayshree Periwal International School's meticulous planning, warm hospitality, and beautiful campus left an indelible impression. The volunteers were super helpful, always there when we needed them. Further, the lively atmosphere encouraged creativity and collaboration. This student-led initiative truly reshaped my view of well-planned events and emphasised the power of teamwork and efficiency.
Aryan Pai: JPIS was a truly spectacular place, with spectacular people. I had an amazing time participating in debate, but my highlight would have been communicating with brilliant people from all around the country. First and foremost, I learned how a proper debate worked, and how I could’ve been better at it. I also learned all about the IB system and the people in it. I enjoyed every interaction I had with everyone there. The social night was a lot of fun, and the buzz before the results of each debate were exciting to say the least.
