Jai Vakeel 2022
The Jai Vakeel Foundation CAS activity began with this lot of year 11 students in August 2021. It has been over 7 months since DAIS students have been pursuing this interaction on Friday afternoons with the Foundation students. We have experienced many changes, from both we and they being online to we becoming offline and then online and then we offline and they in hybrid mode. On our side too we had changes such as 2 students left us to pursue a significant project with the main CAS team and then we had another 2 join us very recently. Overall, the students have all strived very hard to make the foundation students feel welcome and comfortable.
Starting with introducing our school and its activities such as sports day, earth day and annual day, and going on to teaching topics like Mahatma Gandhi, birds & festivals in detail, everything was communicated through presentations to use visual stimulus and then capped by quizzes to deduce if the foundation students had comprehended everything taught.
The DAIS students were enterprising, warm, friendly, interactive and each one took initiative by turn. They have worked on their oral Hindi speaking skills constantly and with fervor as that was the main medium of communication. They made the JVF students laugh, dance, participate actively and feel included.
