Junior First Lego League

Junior First Lego League, India introduces youngest minds (6 to 9 years) to the STEM concepts. It encourages kids to learn and appreciate the wonders of science & technology, involving them in team work, promoting, sharing with each other and respecting each other. The kids are encouraged to explore real-world problems such as food safety, recycling, energy, etc., with relevant field visits and research.

Kids then construct a simple motorized model using LEGO elements to display their learning. They also make a 'Show Me' poster and then they exhibit and present their models. Besides science, technology, building and programming experience, teams work with the FIRST LEGO League Jr. Core Values, which include respect, sharing, and critical thinking, and get an opportunity to present and celebrate their work at the Jr. FIRST LEGO League expo.

This year Jr. FLL Regionals had the theme 'AQUA ADVENTURE' focusing on how water reaches us in different ways and how we can make it more efficient. The kids designed a new model with LEGO® elements and they learn basic engineering and programming skills with LEGO® Educational programming software "WeDo". The teams also document their work in an Engineering Notebook and share their journey through a team Show Me Poster. This year the Jr. FLL team is also going to participate in the Jr. FLL Nationals.
