'Daisight 2017' : A MAD Project

'Daisight 2017' took an initiative to organize an eye-camp for the children of the Angel Xpress foundation. The camp was held on 22nd January 2017, Sunday morning at their centre in Jogeshwari East. Towards the preparation of this camp, these students attended sessions at the Lotus Eye-Hospital for basic vision screening, worked towards spreading awareness in the school community by posters and creating their facebook page on vision-care. They approached various NGOs where they worked last year (each one was with a different NGO) and local communities to identify the one that needed help with Eye-care and finalized the AngelXpress foundation. They continuously coordinated with the Lotus eye hospital and Angel Xpress foundation to plan and organize the event – from deciding on the dates available to doctors / NGO, approaching NGO coordinators to find details, logistics and entire planning and executing of the camp. They conducted eye tests for 70 children aged 7-14 during the camp, supporting those in need of further eye treatment. They truly made a difference by reaching the community who were looking forward to get their eye-checkups.
