English Vinglish Project

The English Vinglish project started by the students of DAIS aims to give back to an essential part of the school community - the non-teaching staff. This initiative focuses on assisting the non-teaching staff in building on their spoken English skills. Their first session on the 24th of September with 15 members of bus, admin, and security staff started this project off to a great start. Students and staff excitedly reconnected and bonded over their favorite memories from school, reminiscing about a time with daily interactions. They broke the ice with one another by engaging in fun activities such as picture descriptions in English, discussing favorite movies and places! Through this, non-teaching staff members and students have built a rapport with each other creating a safe and comfortable environment catering to a learning experience that is beneficial for both the non-teaching staff members and the students.
