'Mile Sur Mera Tumhara'
-Secondary Indian Music Competition 2018
The Indian Music competition is one of the most anticipated events of the year. The event is divided into 3 categories – Classes 5th to 7th, Classes 8th to 10th and the IB.
This year the event took place on Republic Day, the 26th of January. The student council organized reputed judges to attend and judge the event, namely Chandrashekhar Phanse, Madhura Paranjape, and Soumya Ullal Kantak. Considering the auspicious and symbolic occasion, the event was based on the theme “Bharat Meri Jaan”.
In the 5th to 7th category, Anika Chandra of Panther House came first, singing ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’. In the 8th to 10th category, Vikram Sivashankar of Panther House emerged victorious, singing ‘Chunar’ and in the IB category, Aarushi Majumdar of Jaguar House swooped up first prize, singing the ever popular ‘Vande Mataram’. The overall winner of the event was the Panther House!
The event was an enjoyable learning experience for all students. Each contestant participated eagerly and truly displayed tremendous pride for their house.
