The 15th Annual Pearl Padamsee Trophy for Excellence in Speech and Drama

The Pearl Padamsee Trophy Competition is a prestigious platform for showcasing talent, especially theatrics, and prowess in speech and drama. This event is keenly contested by students from schools across Mumbai.

This year over 150 students from 30 schools participated in the competition. After a round of eliminations, 17 finalists were selected to compete for the coveted trophy. The venue for the final round was Sophia Bhabha Auditorium, Breach Candy on October 8, 2023.

This year’s theme was ‘The Power Within’. The eminent jury comprised of renowned names from the theatre and drama world, including Boman Irani, Denzil Smith, Asif Ali Beg, Nandita Puri, and Anupama Verma.

Our DAIS students skilfully incorporated acting with interesting costumes and props into their original elocution pieces. DAIS was the proud winner of two trophies:

Ranbir Dhall – 1st place (10-13 years age category)

Sharanya Agarwal – 2nd runner up (7-9 years age category)
