Primary Art Competition 2021-2022

Our Primary School Art Competition is an annual event, encouraging participation from each Primary student. This experience helps to boost the creativity of the students, thereby achieving greater levels of imagination and refinement.
Visual Art helps students to make connections to the world around them and tap into their understanding, experiences, feelings, and emotions.
The theme identified this year was ‘Global Citizenship’, which aimed to nurture children’s growing sense of self, encourage the value of understanding diverse perspectives, and collaborate with others to reach mutual understanding. The over-arching theme was further broken down into class-level topics linked to global issues, to develop a sense of ‘global interconnectedness’.
The students’ thinking was stimulated by class discussions on the topic, which facilitated a free flow of ideas and perspectives. The participants beautifully portrayed their perception with colourful paintings, through the creative medium of visual art.
