This year, the exciting Primary Spelling Bee was held on the 8th of August, 2019. Buzzing with energy and with the support of an enthusiastic audience, our Class 3 and Class 4 stellar spellers were ready to show off their skills.

 

The event was designed and conducted by our Student Council. After a brief introduction of the rules, the competition began. There were several rounds that tested the spelling abilities of our young ones and they made their way through each round effortlessly. “Cast a Spell” was magically dealt with, as was “Spell Quest”. The students concentrated firmly on the buzzer before them, all ready to press it first and answer correctly. There were other rounds like “Unscramble Spell” and “Spelling Beehive” that could confuse any adult, yet each member of the house contributed to the score.

 

With each passing round, the excitement in the audience increased and the cheers resounded in the auditorium. Trying to keep the audience as involved as possible, some questions were put to them too.

 

Soon the tally of points mounted and the competition reached its much-awaited end-the results! The audience and participants alike, sat with bated breaths, crossing their fingers and hoping that their house would emerge on top. Every house’s victory was celebrated with roaring cheers and applause, and all of the participants rejoiced together, blissful and proud of their efforts. It was the most electrifying way to end a regular Thursday for the kids!

• 3rd Place: Panther House
