Math Learning Walks

Walking the Math Trail

During the week of 11th March to 15th March, the DAIS Primary School organized a series of Math Learning Walks for parents, providing them with insights into how mathematics is taught across different grade levels. The event aimed to foster parental understanding of the Math curriculum and its alignment with the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

The learning walks gave parents an opportunity to explore the tools, strategies, concepts, and skills that the students engage with. By actively engaging with the materials and activities, parents gained a deeper appreciation for the instructional strategies used to develop mathematical understanding and fluency among students.

Through a variety of provocations, parents explored the DAIS Math learning design and implementation in primary school. The Math Learning Walks provided a great opportunity for collaboration between parents and educators in supporting students' mathematical learning journey across different grade levels.
