Rachit Gianchandani Empowers the Nurses at HNRF Hospital

Rachit Gianchandani of DAIS IBDP Year 11 organized a vital self-defence and safety workshop for female healthcare professionals at Mumbai's HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, marking a potential first for student-led initiatives in this area.

 

Inspired by his healthcare professional mother and sister, and driven by concern for women's safety in the field especially on World women’s Day, Rachit's workshop went beyond traditional self-defense. He focused on situational awareness, crisis response, mental resilience, and effective physical techniques, empowering nurses, doctors, and hospital staff.
