Round Square Conference Gwalior
Theme Look Beyond the Visible
Theme Look Beyond the Visible
The 5 day conference meant a lot more to our students and helped them look beyond the visible! In the Role Play session, students also went for a Heritage Walk and saw the breathtaking palace of Raja Man Singh. Student had a Keynote Address by Linda Bird who talked to about the unfamiliar, yet important events that took place in 1947. Her speech revolved around a simple idea that her principal had made to follow when she was a little kid, “Behave like an adult or else, see me.” This simple statement had a deeper meaning for the students to find out and taught them so much about life.
At Vivekananda Needam, a Service Centre, an expert yoga teacher taught students how to relax the mind through different Asanas. This was followed by a streak of Malkhamb performances. Students also did pot painting, watered plants and helped the elderly as a part of their NGO Activity. Students returned to SKV and had their Baraza Activity of Bonsai. The other Baraza groups had activities like cooking, making artificial flowers from stockings and Best of Waste which involved turning waste cans into artistic masterpieces.

Students also went for a Heritage Walk and saw the breathtaking palace of Raja Man Singh; although the interiors were filled with bats, the building had been very well restored. Students also saw a temple that had been built during the great kings' times. On return, they had a Keynote Address by Linda Bird who talked about the unfamiliar, yet important events that took place in 1947. This followed by an interesting session of mosaic making.
