Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Home for Children
The 'Joy Of Giving'
On Saturday, 19th October, 2019, Class 4 B visited the B J Home for Children, an orphanage that houses children from underprivileged backgrounds. The aim was to celebrate Diwali and spread the festive joy and cheer, with the children there.
At DAIS, we believe that true joy, real prosperity, and lasting happiness is possible when all of us come together to take care of each other, respect each other’s rights, and help each other grow.
Class 4 B entertained the inmates by performing on ‘Indiyawale’, and their children too danced on a popular number ‘Chappa Chappa Charkha’. Students also showed their talents playing the piano, acting and doing gymnastics.
Together, the 2 groups of children decorated ‘Rangoli’ designs on paper plates, with crayon colours, and other embellishments and decorations.
It was an absolute joy to witness all the children, regardless of any social strings, spread so much love and happiness towards each other, as they mingled with each other, living childhood in its true sense.
It was an overwhelming experience for all present, as our students take initial steps towards social responsibility and value others as a part of the community.
