Sidharth Sankhe wins gold at National Swimming Federation of India Meet

Sidharth Sankhe gave a stellar performance in the "under 14" age category at the recently held National level Swimming Federation of India Meet held in July 2013 at Hyderabad. He won three gold medals and two bronze medals.



Gold medal - 200 meter breast stroke (individual event)
Bronze medal - 50 meter free style (individual event)
Bronze medal - 100 meter breast stroke (individual event)
Gold medal - 4x100 meter free style relay (team event)
Gold medal - 4x100 medley relay (team event)

Sidharth improved his "personal best" timing by 7.5 seconds to be declared the fastest " under 14" 200 meter breaststroke swimmer in India and won a Gold medal in the event. He also won two Bronze medals in 50 metre freestyle and 100 metre breaststroke.

He teamed with other Maharashtra swimmers to defeat their arch rivals and close competitors Karnataka team in both 4x100 freestyle and 4x100 medley relays to win Gold medal for the state of Maharashtra.
