Talk by Ms. Agrawal for Class 4 A and B

It is our constant endeavour at DAIS to take learning beyond the confines of the classroom and make it an enjoyable experience for our students. A wide array of activities is regularly organized, that not only help to give a hands-on experience, but also motivate and inspire the learners to be active participants in the learning process.

Class 4, who is studying about India’s neighbouring countries, invited a resource expert to deliver a talk to the students, on 20th April, 2017. The innovative session was delivered by Ms. Rohini Agrawal, an involved parent at the school. Ms. Agrawal has recently written a Primary Atlas, which is informative and instructive. The session was conducted in the CPA.

The session began with a talk on each neighbour of India, aided by a power-point presentation. Students answered questions and clarified doubts.

The class was then divided into 8 groups, denoting a country, and worked as a team on the task assigned to them. Designs and samples were distributed and the students had to create their own versions of any art typical to that country.

Ms. Agrawal then gave each pupil a ‘Passport’ which they had to fill in, and cut and stick pictures of the national symbols of each country. The entire session was enjoyable and the students were keen participants in all the activities.
