Varun Bakshi essay selected for 2024 Global Empathy Conference in Prague

DAIS IBDP student, Varun Bakshi's essay submission to the international VSA Elaine Hobson Memorial Literary Festival has been selected to be showcased at the 2024 Global Empathy Conference in Prague. His essay, "Pay it Forward," drew inspiration amidst the chaos and despair of India's largest garbage dumping ground in Govandi, Mumbai. His narrative on empathy began during his initial visit to Pratham, an NGO committed to transforming the lives of marginalized communities through education. The experience at the garbage dumping grounds significantly reshaped his perspectives on resilience and compassion.
