EMBRACING DIVERSITY AND CULTURE
A 'yoga' performance instilled the benefits of yoga as a ray of hope in troubled times. The Middle school
students displayed their gymnastics skills in a creative routine to music.

DAIS hosted the IB Festival of Hope, which brought together students and educators from 56 IB schools
across India, to promote intercultural understanding and global citizenship.

The skit that followed explored how each of us can embrace 'hope' and banish 'despair' from our lives, to
write our own destinies. The younger Primary school students performed a contemporary dance, set to
foot-tapping music, which had the audience swaying in their seats. A sing-along that concluded the
opening ceremony programme, had a fusion of Indian and Western blends of music.
The highlight of the programme was the presentation by our school band, as part of the closing ceremony.
The vibrant atmosphere was testimony to the power of music to bridge divides and celebrate diversity.

The Primary and Middle school students of DAIS showcased an impressive array of spectacular musical,
dance, and drama performances. A traditional dance performance set the tone for the events that
 followed.
