A Learning Weekend with Kath Murdoch
The 18th and 19th of August, 2018 was indeed an amazing way to spend the weekend with colleagues, to update and upgrade our skills of teaching and learning. DAIS, in collaboration with Chapters International, hosted a very empowering, enriching and interactive workshop with Kath Murdoch on ‘Inquiry Based Learning’. Teachers from all over the country, including 35 teachers from DAIS, participated with great enthusiasm and learned different strategies to guide and lead our 21st century learners, to be able to experience the joy of learning. Kath Murdoch gave us all a clear insight into different innovative techniques that would trigger curiosity, and enhance learning in the classrooms. Her experience and expertise gave us a very clear understanding of Inquiry Based Learning and its application at school. We are eagerly looking forward to taking these practices into our classrooms, in order to keep up with our mission statement, of helping our children to bring out the best in themselves. This will also foster all round development and motivate our children to grow into truly global citizens. No doubt, a weekend well spent!
