Experiential Learning

Experiential learning is a vital element of student life at DAIS. A wide range of opportunities outside of the classroom provide real-life experiences and challenges for students. We foster the interests of each child and help them realise their full potential in multiple ways. The activities offered are also aimed at building their social and life skills.

The DAIS co-curricular programme provides enriching opportunities beyond the classroom for our students to pursue their areas of passion, explore their creative side and enhance their inherent competencies and leadership skills. Students are able to choose from an array of activities: Music, Dance, Drama, E-Magazine (Perspective), Scrabble, Quiz, Cooking, Art Animation, Pottery, Calligraphy and Wood Work. The School also offers students a wide range of clubs, such as Film Appreciation, Science, Debate, Robotics, Spanish/French, School Magazine (Insignia) and Photography. Such activities and interactions with experts from different fields help our students gain a glimpse of professions related to their area of interest.

DAIS students also engage in out-of-school activities where they simulate real-life situations, develop leadership skills and gain experience of volunteering for various community service activities. The IAYP (International Award for Young People) challenges students in four areas - physical recreation, skills, service and expedition.

Participating in several national and international Model United Nations conferences, including THIMUN at The Hague, Netherlands, offers opportunities to role-play international Diplomats engaged in resolving conflicts around the world. Additionally, organising the THIMUN-affiliated Dhirubhai Ambani International Model United Nations (DAIMUN), enables our students to gain organisational and management experience, which develops their skills. DAIS is a Global Member of Round Square, involving our students in field trips, conferences, service activities and exchange programmes, preparing them for their future roles as responsible citizens
