As a proud graduate of DAIS, I often reflect on
how the school's nurturing environment and
academic program shaped my path. DAIS
wasn’t just a school; it was a community where I
discovered my passions, honed my skills, and
built lifelong friendships. The IB program’s
unique approach pushed us to apply our minds
to concepts, encouraging us to think through
problems by breaking them down rather than
merely memorizing them. This method of
learning was particularly impactful for me as I
pursued physics, chemistry, and math—subjects
that laid a strong foundation for my future
studies in engineering at the University of
Pennsylvania.
The school’s values went beyond academics,
instilling in us the importance of giving back to
society. From creating a music video to raise
awareness about child labor in India to
organizing a school fete for charity, these
experiences not only allowed us to make a

taught us to see the bigger picture, to imagine
things beyond our immediate surroundings, and
to strive for perfection in all we do.
Today, as an entrepreneur and co-founder of a
snack food brand called Taali, I find myself
drawing on many of the skills and values I first
developed at DAIS. Taali is more than just a
business—it's a brand on a mission to change
the way India snacks by making "better for you"
snacking affordable and accessible. The
resilience and determination required to push
myself every day and never give up have their
roots in the lessons I learned during my time at
school.
But DAIS was more than just academics and
values; it was a home away from home. The
small rituals, like the morning prayer and the
school song, created a sense of belonging that I
still cherish. DAIS will always be a place that
shaped not just my career, but the person I am
today.
