(Hon) Dr Vibha Bakshi is a National Award-winning film director and producer as well as recipient of four National Awards, the highest recognition in Indian cinema. Her path-breaking, multi-award-winning films are knocking down patriarchy the world over. Her latest film SON RISE has been selected by the UN's global HeForShe movement to be shown across 71 priority countries to change the narrative on gender inequality and injustice. Her ground-breaking documentary 'Daughters of Mother India' spotlighted the burning issue of rape and gender violence and was used across India to gender sensitize the police force. The film holds the distinction of being THE MOST AWARDED SOCIAL CAMPAIGN IN THE WORLD – Global Creative Index 2017. Her inspirational talk with DAIS students gave a platform to discuss stirring issues of gender inequality and violence against women.
