A Stroll in an Epiphany

With great reluctance, I went for a stroll on a Sunday morning.
I never fancied something could be this rewarding.
Girls were playing tennis on clay court,
Exhibiting their serves and strokes in this sport
One of them hit a drop shot across the net,
Her opponent couldn’t reach it and she won the set.

Boys were playing cricket on one side of the ground,
I wondered whether here, the next Kohli or Dhoni would be found.

Lads that hit their shots fiercely, were so stout,
Scored sixes and fours though occasionally a yorker got one out.
Teenagers were playing football in the other part,
On the field, pouring out their heart.
Displaying immaculate footwork with agility,
Showcasing their extraordinary capability.
In the play area, toddlers were making a lot of sound,
Quite a few were enjoying the merry-go-round,
Others were defying gravity on the swings,
They were happy, as if they had wings.

The jogging track was buzzing with noise,
With men and women, girls and boys,
A few sprinting, some jogging and others taking a stroll,
All determined to complete their step goal
I experienced the joy of sweating it out,
It was a wonderful feeling without a doubt,
The lively environment made me deliberate,
Words of wisdom hit me straight.

To become fit, just wake up early,
Create a routine, follow it sternly.
Play a sport, walk, jog or exercise
To keep yourself happy, healthy, wealthy, and wise.
