c. Parents are requested to see that their children are punctual to school.
Students from Class VIII and above will serve detention on every third
occasion that they are late. A third detention may result in a day's suspension.
d. Students are strictly forbidden to leave the school premises during the regular
school hours without the express permission of the Section Head.
e. Excursions, trips, and holidays should be planned for, only during school
vacation periods. Students are not granted leave outside the regular vacation
periods. The school reserves its right to refuse permission for any trip if it
demands excessive leave or if it occurs at an inappropriate time of the school year.
f. Students must be present in school on the day of closing and reopening, before
and after the vacations (Spring, Summer, Diwali and Christmas).
g. In case of absence due to illness, the Section Head must be informed in writing
on the closing or the opening day, whichever is applicable.
h. Parents are not entitled to take children from school for holidays during school
days. Leave of absence must be applied for in advance, and only when they are
convinced of its absolute necessity, unless it is a case of injury to or illness of the
student. Application for leave written by the parent / guardian should be
addressed to the Head of your child's section and submitted through the class
teacher / tutor. In case of siblings, the name and class must be mentioned in
each application. The decision to sanction absence for holidays rests entirely
with the school.
i. Absence for preparation for examinations is not permitted.
j. Parents are asked to ensure that their children arrive at and leave school
punctually. Students should aim to be in school by 8:10 a.m. Those who arrive
late (between 8:15 – 8:45 am) will have their names recorded and parents will
be informed. Strict action will be taken against habitual latecomers.
k. At the end of the school day, buses will leave punctually. While every effort is
made to ensure that all students board buses, the school cannot take
responsibility for the dilatory or disobedient. Parents will be expected to make
their own arrangements for collecting their children from school if the child
misses the bus.
l. To be absent from school without school permission is a major infringement of
school rules. Repeated absence will warrant more serious penalties like
detention or suspension measures to be taken on an individual basis by the
Section Head.
