e) Model United Nations
IB Diploma students take the lead in planning, organising and executing and
conducting the Dhirubhai Ambani International school Model United Nations
(DAIMUN). Model United Nations co-curricular activity at DAIS nurtures student
interest in global socio-economic and political affairs, develops skills to identify
issues and diplomatically articulate realistic solutions for a peaceful world. Students
are encouraged to think of amicable solutions to a vast range of issues but not
limited to human rights protection, infringement to sovereignty, climate change,
sustainable development goals, peaceful use of atomic energy and promoting
good health worldwide. In the weekly MUN club, students prepare country specific
resolutions for committee agendas which are debated simulating United Nations
procedures. The club provides a platform for students who are passionate about
the United Nations and world affairs to become critical thinkers, exhibit analytical
approaches to the challenges of a rapidly changing world. Our student delegations
from Classes VIII to XII participate in several MUN conferences including three
                     international conferences.

                 f) Coding and Robotics

Through the robotics and coding programmes we look at building a strong
foundation in the field of computational thinking and robotics. The school provides
students with the resources and the opportunity to use this knowledge while
representing it at global competitions like the FIRST Tech Challenge (Classes VIII and
IX) and the FIRST Robotics Competition (Classes VIII to XII). The competition
curriculum also has the students espousing various causes including inclusion and
gender diversity by providing equal opportunities to all through partnerships with
organisations that work closely with local communities.

                 g) Annual School Events

The Annual Day, School Fete and Sporting meets are significant events that bring
the whole school family together. The events showcase the uniqueness of each and
every student, focusing on the joy of learning and community service. In
preparation for Annual Day, the school schedule changes and we follow an
'Evening School' schedule. As these events culminate, we celebrate the realisation
of the vision and mission of our school and get ready to usher in the New Year with
                     renewed resolve and zeal.
