k. To be absent from school without school permission is a major infringement of
school rules. Repeated absence will warrant more serious penalties such as
detention or suspension at the discretion of the Head.
l. Students who submit a late assignment will be warned in the first instance and
will be detained to complete the submission on the day itself. A parent
conference will be organised with the subject teacher, student and the
respective Programme Coordinator in case of a repeat offence. Any further
failure to meet deadlines will result in a detention and repeated offences may
lead to a suspension.
m. Requirements for Graduation from DAIS which apply to students in Classes XI
and XII include 90% attendance as per the annual calendar and following the
general code of conduct in school.
The school reserves the right to inform universities about the
attendance, behaviour and work habits of all students.
Teachers are not required to set work / exams for students who are absent
without sanctioned leave. Students and their parents are reminded that regular
attendance and punctuality are key to a student's academic success, no matter
what the age of the learner. A record of absences is kept and noted in the
student's file.
