A Movie Gone Wrong

Thunder crashing in the sky, the wind whistling through the trees,
Bats flying overhead, wild animals rustling the leaves.
In the pitch-black darkness of the night, not a single sound or sight,
Erupts a wild cry and a flash of light, as we turn towards the right.
Lo and behold! It's us, the factory workers, finally free,
But, I get a glimpse of the person watching us and he isn't happy with what he sees,
Our torches glowing in the night sky, brighter than the fire in our hearts,
“Say no to exploitation!” we shout, strapped to our backs are darts.
As we stomp towards the city, like a pack of beasts,
Free from starvation, even a day's meal will be a feast!
Rugged clothes, some of us barefoot, we walk across the forest path,
An expression of anger plastered to my face as we continue our march.
My feet hurt after stepping on jagged stones,
The wind has chilled me to my bones.
I scoff thinking of the fake gusts of wind, and cameras all around,
Why do I work? Well good wages are hard to be found.
As I stumble forward, sick of acting like the others,
“Cut” shouts our ill-tempered director as he strides towards me and my brothers,
“What horrendous acting is this? You're not worth the price,” he screams,
“I'd rather spend my money on the hero”, from the other set he beams.
My hand curls into a fist, I hold myself back,
Oh! If only I was a hero and not a villager in the scene, he'd cut me some slack,
