I prepped wads of gunpowder and put the cannon ball in the bore.
I was about to light the fuse when a thundering sound rang in my

When it missed by just a few inches, it fell into the sea.
Arzoo Maheshwari A piercing screech erupted from the waters, and an enormous icy
blue sea horse rose from below. I glanced worriedly at my
crewmates and saw the terror in their eyes.
“Move back!” I screamed, my breath ragged.
“I am Blomber!” it howled. It swung in my direction and I ducked
as it shot sparks of ice. The thing turned on the ship and shot a
barrage of ice towards us. Everything started freezing over, and I
realized we were going to sink!
“Get on the lifeboat!” I instructed the crew as I drew my sword, its
hilt glinting in the bright sunlight. “Not today Blomber.” I cried as
I ran towards the bow. Sprinting up the bowsprit, I took a giant
leap and slashed viciously at the creature's slimy neck. Its head
splashed into the foamy sea and I jumped
down to the waiting lifeboat and my
cheering crewmates, beaming in
triumph.
