Dealing with online school
The pandemic: what can one say about
that time? Being locked up in a house with
none of your friends to talk to and nothing to do;
it was basically torture. Not only did our social
skills take a nosedive, but we also had to do
school online.
Although the school managed to create
an efficient learning platform, it was obviously
different from learning physically. For one,
it was easy to get distracted and learning
seemed difficult. Seventh grade wasn't too
challenging as we were all used to the middle
school system. So, despite the obstacles we
faced it wasn't as bad. However, the move from
middle school to eight grade was more
challenging. Even in physical school, it was
difficult, as all changes are. Everyone had their
own mechanisms to cope with the stress of
starting high school online. My coping
mechanism was very simple but effective –
reading and listening to music. Reading helped
me escape into another world and forget all my
stress. Music helped to calm down.
Reading and listening to music are not extremely
complex activities and they improved my well-
being greatly during the pandemic. Even now
that we're back to physical school, books and
music help me cope with my stress.

Mon École
Bonjour! Je m'appelle Ilisha et aujourd'hui je vais parler de mon école. Mon école s'appelle Dhirubhai Ambani International School qui se
trouve à Mumbai.
Normalement, je me lève à 7 heures. Je me brosse les dents et je prends mon bain. Ensuite, je prends mon petit déjeuner. A 7h45, je vais à
l'école en bus scolaire. Mes cours commencent à 8h30.
Mon école est très magnifique! Il y a 7 étages dans mon école. Il y a aussi beaucoup de salles de classes, y compris les classes spéciales (la
salle de musique, la salle the yoga, la salle d'informatique etc. Il y a un grand terrain de football derrière l'école. Il y a également le terrain
de basket et le terrain de tennis. Près de 1000 élèves fréquentent notre école. Nous avons deux pauses pour nos repas.
J'adore mon école. Ma matière préférée est l'anglais, parce que c'est assez intéressant et j'aime écrire. Je n'aime pas trop les
mathématiques parce que je pense que c'est très difficile. Je rencontre mes amis tous les jours – c'est vraiment amusant.
Mon école se termine à 3 heures. Je rentre chez moi avec beaucoup de devoirs, mais toujours heureuse de revenir le lendemain ! J'adore mon école !
